Face to Face Tour
The Face to Face choir tour of my senior year was mind-blowingly awesome. I felt as if there was never a dull moment when it came to our performances. I simply love our high school tours because we get to meet other people from other areas of the United States, and see how their culture is similar to our own. I can honestly say that no one event was my favorite of tour, but rather all of the chances we got to interact with other people. This was basically a tour to meet other people from different cultures through Christ, so accordingly I chose the Christ and Culture outcome. The mission of our tour was to come face to face with people from Michigan, Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois through Christ, and I feel like I accomplished that mission. Everywhere we went the residents of these areas all had a different culture, and we got to interact with these people, and really share our love of Christ with them. Mr. Ippel put me in charge of a few volunteers, and we spent the day cleaning up the church, talking to people who would walk into the church, and just having fun. I met an 8 year old girl named Brianna, who was in my volunteer group and she seemed to embody a true giving spirit. She worked all day, and in the end of the concert I called her up on stage and she played STOMP with us. I loved the opportunity to share the love of Christ with other people and will remember that experience for the rest of my life.
